4) Starting the School Year

• Cooperative games are a great way to start the school year.  I have a previous blog with some ideas.
• OPEN also has Personal, Social Responsibility Modules with a variety of ideas.

3) Professional Development

• This is also an important component to building a quality physical education.  Some teachers are fortunate enough to have the opportunity to attend conferences, but rarely would every teacher in a district have this chance.  Now that physical education is part of a well-rounded education, we have a seat at the table to advocate for teacher training. Here is a FAQ sheet on utilizing Title II funding.

2) My Fitness Pal

• I started using MyFitnessPal and have learned a lot about myself in the process.  By recording everything that I eat/drink, I am more accountable.  If you have tried this, I recommend giving it a go.
